The Groupon Partner Network (GPN) is Groupon’s affiliate program, focused on helping publishers and developers of all sizes deliver compelling offers to their users. In just over 3 years, we’ve grown GPN into a Top 10 global affiliate program, with operations in North America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific.

We recently expanded our program beyond pure affiliate marketing into a broader channel tasked with maximizing the distribution of Groupon offers through businesses of all sizes around the world. As a result, we are entering a period of unprecedented productivity and growth in the Groupon Partner Network.

As part of this transformation, we are looking to add a Business Development Executive in EMEA to establish and cultivate sustainable distribution partnerships with large local, national, and multinational brands. The role will report directly to the Head of Media Marketing and will be based in Dublin, Ireland.

The successful candidate will have the proven ability to

Define, size, and prioritize partnership opportunities

Develop and execute against a business development pipeline with limited oversight

Identify, reach, and engage the appropriate counterpart at target partners

Successfully negotiate key business and legal terms with senior-level counterparts, and partner with business, product, and engineering teams to define and implement new product features required to deliver on key partnerships

Required qualifications and Characteristics

5+ years of experience sourcing, negotiating, closing, and activating strategic partnerships within the digital marketing and/or e-commerce space

A track record of defining new categories of partnerships for a company, and securing lighthouse customers to pioneer new business

A clean and logical thinker, with strong instincts – informed by a combination of smarts and experience

A passion to win, and an unwillingness to settle

An analytical mind, with the potential to retain and utilize numbers to make objective decisions

A strong bias for action, combined with a proven history of delivering results

Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do the less glamorous parts of the job

A genuine desire, and demonstrated ability to build and/or mentor a partner development team

Preferred Qualifications

Additional language; Italian, French or German

Master’s degree

Experience in a global e-commerce company

Examples of closing deals with large entities, for example Airlines, OTA’s, Hoteliers a plus
