Groupon has Product Management opportunities on the following teams:
Groupon+ – Groupon is looking for a data-driven Product Manager to grow the consumer base for Groupon+, a new and easy way to experience and save at restaurants around you. We aim to improve the Groupon experience through a voucherless, cash back driven redemption. You will be responsible for identifying gaps in the consumer enrollment area and identifying conversion optimization opportunities to drive sustainable growth.
Merchandising – We are looking for an experienced product leader to set vision, define strategy and to deliver a richly merchandised user experience for Groupon’s consumers to drive engagement & long term growth. You will be responsible for the end to end product experience, from working with the merchandising team and enable them to launch dynamic campaigns that add business value to working with the consumer team and create seamless experiences to access the merchandising content.
Geo and Location – Groupon is building the daily habit in local commerce, offering a vast mobile and online marketplace where people discover and save on amazing things to do, see, eat and buy. The success of Groupon depends on having a deep and broad selection of small businesses for consumers to explore. Groupon’s Location and Geo products team is tasked with understanding and enhancing location preferences of our users across mobile, web and marketing use cases. In addition this team is tasked with providing geo intelligence and APIs to rest of the organization, so that the merchant addresses and address autocomplete functionalities across the Groupon products function accurately and seamlessly.
Consumer Engagement (User Generated Content) –
Groupon is building the future of local commerce enabling anyone to discover amazing things to eat, see or do in their neighborhood. We're looking for an exceptional product manager to join our consumer engagement team and build out our user ratings & reviews product. This person will set the vision and drive execution of some of our strategic initiatives to improve the shopping experience on Groupon for consumers and help merchants better understand what customers are saying about them. Your products will touch the 100MM+ users who come to Groupon each month and have an immediate impact in how they experience their local surroundings.
Understand our goals, market, users, data, internal requirements, and capabilities
Creatively craft a winning product strategy
Own the full product development lifecycle for your area: strategize and communicate your vision, determine KPIs, build the roadmap, and deliver your features
Execute through collaboration
Partner with designers, engineers, analysts, data scientists and others to generate a unified product plan
Take accountability for working with product teams on initial product ideation through go-to-market launch
Work cross functionally with design, engineering, and QA to build and ship each feature, and then collaborate with Business Operations to measure results and iterate
Smart, focused, curious, collaborative, energetic, creative, and accomplished
5+ years of product management experience in fast-paced companies. Consumer experience is a huge plus.
Deep analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, and a track record of applying these to inform effective and successful business decisions driving consumer-centered product strategy
Ability to think quickly and creatively about problems and develop efficient solutions
Obsession with understanding and meeting the needs of end-users & business goals
Strong communication and influencing skills
Passion for consumer product, e-commerce, and mobile
