We are seeking a retail-savvy Assistant Buyer to assist in driving the growth of Groupon Goods, our online retail arm dedicated to featuring great deals on great products.

The Assistant Buyer assists the Buyer in expanding selection by setting up new products, maintaining the product catalog, and organizing samples.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Product/Deal Sourcing to locate products to fulfill deal requests
Keep current with industry trends to ensure we are offering enticing products to our consumers
Enter data into lead management system (SalesForce) and keep records current
Must be able to influence and work well other departments
The ideal candidate has a track record of successful relationship management, strong analytical acumen, and experience generating and managing reporting and analysis. Great communication skills will be essential to your success.

Our environment is fast-paced, and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams, vendors, partners, and management under minimal supervision.


1-2 years experience in online retailing, retail buying, retail category management, or merchandising; strong desire to progress career within the merchandising/buying industry
Bachelors degree preferred
Must be detail oriented and have (proven/demonstrated keen) organizational skills, analytical ability, and negotiation skills
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
