Sales and Sales Operations own the relationships that powers Groupon by working with local and national businesses to craft marketing plans that deliver the amount of traffic that merchants want – right when they need it.
Due to continued growth, we’re currently recruiting a Sales Operations Director who will be responsible for leading our Sales Operations teams and providing strategic advice and guidance to our International leadership teams, Country Managers, and our Sales teams across ANZ & Japan (APAC region).
You’ll partner and collaborate with Operations and Corporate teams to achieve and exceed company targets for Australia, New Zealand & Japan by identifying, defining and executing our supply growth strategy.
Role & Responsibilities:
Leading best practice and adoption of all sales and sales operations tools while partnering with Operations, Technology and Marketing to ensure strategic alignment
Planning focused on maximizing revenue via inventory management, sales guidance and recommendations to enhance sales effectiveness
Motivate, inspire and lead by example, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the sales process, strategy, planning and operations that support sales
Guide the professional development of all team members via individual development plans and participation in management upskilling programs
Develop and implement tactical initiatives to drive individual team performance and deliver results
Act in a hands-on capacity working collaboratively in relation to strategic planning & sales processes
Leverage off strong internal relationships across all functions to ensure a seamless experience for our Client Partners and consumers
Assist in driving the overall company goals and growth strategy
Know the numbers by understanding and interpreting key business performance metrics
The ideal candidate:
Extensive experience in a Sales Operations environment within e-commerce, retailing, online or Media/Advertising.
Proven track record of growing businesses in a fast paced and competitive environment
Highly entrepreneurial, self-starting with a strong bias for action, and ability to make things happen
Demonstrated experience and passionate leading and motivating teams with evidence of consistent results and current success
A fast and eager learner who can pick up new concepts quickly
Ability to forge strong credible impressions internally and externally
Strategic vision and being able to translate it to specific actions and plans
