Our Local Sales team is responsible for building a marketplace of deals covering the best things for people to see and do in each of our major cities – everything ranging from restaurants, leisure, beauty, wellness, healthcare and services. Joining our Local Sales Division, you will continue to establish Groupon as an integral marketing partner of local businesses across Australia.

As an Account Manager your role is to retain and grow an allocated portfolio while building long-term partnerships with merchants through Groupon’s business and marketing solutions to increase and calibrate customer traffic, drive revenue and manage capacity. Your role is pivotal in supporting all of our merchants and business partners throughout the life of their campaign, and provide ongoing support on a day to day basis.

Managing a portfolio of clients, you’ll adopt a consultative approach during interactions with merchants to ensure that they are able to maximise the true and full potential of running a Groupon campaign. This is a high volume position and you will have allocated touch points for the client journey.

A bit about the role:

Partner with a portfolio of merchants post sales, to grow their business and deliver on their specific needs
Own full lifecycle management of the deal campaign from deal prep, support, growth and sales cycle to re-features on our website
Building and generating relationships with existing Groupon merchants through impeccable customer service and independent research to expand the range of offers for our subscribers
Collect feedback from the merchant post feature, collate and share to further improve the merchant experience
Act as brand ambassador at all times, ensuring that Groupon clients have a positive experience
A bit about you:

Prior phone or client-facing account management experience (advertising, media, online marketing; ecommerce or hospitality sales highly desirable)
Demonstrated experience in a fast paced, target driven sales environment with evidence of consistent and current success
Strong negotiation and decision-making skills, customer-focused instincts and sound judgement
Intellectual agility and creativity to respond to changing demands and create new solutions
Comfortable in a competitive environment, with evidence of personal ambition to improve
Self-motivated and an adept time-manager
An outgoing personality and a great sense of humour!
