Reporting into the EMEA Communications Director, the UK, IE and FR Comms Lead role is responsible for developing and managing multiple channels that promote Groupon’s brand to both internal and external audiences in the UK/IE and managing the PR Manager in France. This role also manages the UK Internal Comms Manager and EMEA Design Lead.

Your responsibilities:

Development and implementation (with the local PR agency) of quarterly PR plans in line with the brief set by the EMEA Communications Director and local management
Development and implementation of the Social Media forward creative content planner in line with the brief set by the EMEA Social Media Head, integration with the PR plan as well as the development of a set number of stand alone SM campaigns across the quarter
Management of Groupon UK's PR agency and their outputs
Social Media channel management and weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting
Delivery of key business, PR and Social metrics linked to quarterly plans
Delivery of internal communications activities and management of the company intranet for these purposes
Provide a key interface into marketing, integrating campaigns and brand messaging
Supporting/consulting other departments with their communication programmes creativity in the development and implementation of various communication measures for different target groups
Planning, implementation and control of national and international press tours and events
Your Profile:

At least 5-8 years of experience in the area of PR and external communication, either in house or agency side
Experience in creating and conducting brand strategy communications for consumer brands in the UK
A broad range of media contacts and experience of the creation and pitching of consumer and B2B PR campaigns
Experience of community management and a base line understanding of social media measurement and metrics/reporting
Understanding of PR agencies, how they operate and best practice management – this may have been gained from managing agencies or from being a part of an agency team
Budget management capabilities
Some experience in internal communication and the use of company intranets
Excellent writing, speaking and presentation skills
Independence and proactivity while fulfilling daily duties, ability to build a resilient network within and outside the company
Strong social skills. Must be able to work well in a group as well as individually time manage and drive projects to completion
Creativity in the development and implementation of various communication measures for different target groups
Team management experience
E-commerce experience will be an asset
