EMEA Pricing Analyst

The Goods team source and merchandise a vast array of products, ranging from Consumer Electronics, Home & Garden to Fashion. This business unit has expanded rapidly and is generating unprecedented amount of business. As a Pricing Analyst you’ll be part of the EMEA Pricing Guideline Project, one of the top 5 initiatives on the Goods Business. You’ll be a key element of the EMEA Pricing team, as we build infrastructure to support the Commercial Buying function across EMEA and beyond.

This role will predominantly provide analytical support to the Pricing team. Ranging from; running weekly reports, Providing ad-hoc analysis, managing data structure & integrity, managing data feeds to/from 3rd parties and supporting the PGP project as necessary. This role will report directly into the Pricing & Analytics Director for EMEA.

Predominant focus will be on analytics, but will have exposure to project related tasks such as; project management, updates to ELT, aligning with US pricing teams, potential travel to US/EMEA, training and development, cross functional working and other wider exposure.

Core responsibilities:

Managing periodic Pricing reports

Publishing weekly/daily pricing data to Commercial team

Building Tableau reports

Ad-Hoc Analysis

Deriving Price elasticity values from historical data

Driving Pricing best practice across EMEA

Collaborating with US Pricing team to support Global Pricing strategy

Managing Pricings data structure

Building and developing Pricing policy rules sets into Gateway Pricing Portal

Working with product catalogue team to ensure data integrity

Working cross functionally with multiple teams

Work as a key member of the pricing team

Manage Range/Price architecture project

Requirements:

Strong analytical background (2+ years min)

Strong commercial understanding

Knowledge of GM categories in Groupon Goods

Previously worked in retail – ideally pricing dept

Methodical and logical approach

Good attention to detail

Excellent Excel Skills (advanced) – mandatory!

Tableau data visualisation experience

Strong TeraData SQL Skills (advanced level) – mandatory!

VBA skills advantageous (but not essential)

Experience in R statistics package advantageous (but not essential)

Strong written and oral communication skills

Degree level, ideally Masters
