Title: Art Director – Brand Ops (Contract)

Location: Remote USA – This role can be performed anywhere from the United States.

The Job

GoPro is seeking a skilled Art Director with a strong design portfolio and experience working cross- functionally for an in-house design studio. Vast experience and understanding of print and front-end web design are necessary as well as the ability to translate brand level messaging across various marketing vehicles on a global scale. Retail and out-of-home design experience is a plus due to the vast quantity of large format work this team executes.

You will be responsible for producing engaging creative solutions for various retail, resorts, events, product trainings and internal communication efforts at GoPro. Projects range from multi-page educational presentations to resort windows, event logos, large-format out-of-home graphics as well as visual e-commerce support for our premier retail partners.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have the ability to evolve GoPro’s presence in physical and virtual spaces around the world. Be ready to jump in and out of multiple projects on a daily basis. This role requires effortless integration of high quality designs into marketing vehicles of all shapes and sizes with input from creative leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines, stakeholders and project types

  • Participate in all phases of the creative development process from concept to tactical

    implementation and production of final assets

  • Be fearless in putting forth your creative ideas, but also be receptive to current business practices in place to help guide real-world executions

  • Be willing to think on your feet and contribute to the evolution of materials for all design projects presented to you

  • Work in tandem with the Associate Creative Director to deliver high quality, global creative to markets near and far

  • Tackle all design work with the same attention to detail and care, regardless of the perceived scale of the project or deliverable

Skills We’re Excited About

  • Solid portfolio showing best in class solutions with a high level of design excellence

  • Command of visual and graphic systems/structures: typography, design, photography

  • A keen eye for visual details and accuracy within design systems

  • Confidence when communicating design choices in both verbal and written reviews

  • Ability to successfully manage own time and prioritize own work including multiple project

    streams and feedback loops

  • A flexible approach and willingness to adapt your ideas via input from other departments

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Office 365 and Figma

  • Knowledge of DAM Systems and Work Management Systems

  • BFA or similar degree

  • 3-5 years as an Art Director or similar position

  • Stoke for GoPro cameras and love of the brand

  • Experience using or owning one of our products

The ranges added below are for Colorado-based hires only and will be dependent on candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations other than CO may differ. Pay range: $55-$65 per hour.
