Job Description
As an Assistant Design Manager, you will explore and conceptualize design options and solutions that maintain Livspace’s vision and creative beliefs. You will work either independently or in conjunction with the Creative Lead, Senior Designers and Designers, evaluate design options, and develop and push to find ‘big ideas’ based on design strategy and the creative brief. You will develop straightforward design approaches to complex design challenges across brand development, identity, packaging, mobile, digital and user experience design projects. 
 
  • Be a hands-on design manager, growing and mentoring a small focussed team, while leading design craft by example. 
  • Guide, mentor and motivate team members. Help them push the envelope to create impactful (buzzworthy or strongly influencing brand growth) ideas. 
  • Build a high-performing collaborative environment and encourage deep partnership with cross-functional teams, setting a high bar for design, and conceiving, defining and executing design strategy for Livspace. 
  • Responsible for the quality of product, and appropriateness of solution(s), from initial client briefing to internal critique sessions, through to final presentations, refinements, design implementation and overall production accuracy. 
  • Help ensure that deadlines and brand guidelines are adhered to. 
  • Support the Creative Lead with the development and implementation of Livspace’s creative vision. 
  • Lead creative feedback and use personal expertise to draw out the best possible creative ideas 
  • Help the brand move toward the desired visual tone 
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and satisfaction, and step in when needed for the team. 
  • Work on bigger projects and sell your ideas. 
  • Be invested in the brand. Consider it your own. Come up with proactive ideas to help grow it. 
  • Present and review work done by your team on a weekly/monthly basis with leads. 
  • Love your team members as you love yourself. 
  • Have fun, spread happiness and find energy even on Mondays.
Job Requirement
  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic design, communication, design, fine arts, or a related field. 
  • Experience of 6-8 years in flawlessly designing agile brands. 
  • 2-3 years of broad creative and management experience (required). 
  • You are a strategic thinker, understand branding and love it. You pursue ‘attention to detail’ like it’s your true love. 
  • You are a team player; understand team interaction and team members' roles. 
  • You perform well in a team environment and foster communication and cohesion between internal teams and functions. 
  • You’ve grown to become empathetic towards team members and stakeholders and prefer leading over bossing. 
  • You value the clock. Organisation skills and meeting deadlines are important to you. 
  • You don’t know it all. You are self-motivated, you learn and make good use of constructive feedback.
