Our Business Development Representatives are responsible for executing an account-based go-to-market strategy, connecting with prospects, and building new business & opportunities for the field sales teams. This role is a fantastic way to jumpstart a career in field sales. BDR’s generate qualified opportunities for our sales organization through relevant and engaging go-to-market strategies including events, campaigns, social selling, and various prospecting activities in order to understand our prospect's business needs while consistently delivering the Aera value proposition.
 
The Business Development Representative oversees the business growth and evolution. Duties include identifying potential sales leads, pitching business products and services, and managing customer relationships.
 
We are a remote-friendly company. Our ideal candidate will be based in the UK, and be able to travel throughout the EMEA region as needed.

Responsibilities

    • Proactively engage and drive the introduction of Aera Technology vision and value to new inbound accounts, and maximizes coverage within the defined region and current customer accounts
    • Collaborate with field sales to develop and execute Account Based Sales Development strategies, while targeting the appropriate audience at the right time, with the right message
    • Proactively engage and contact existing customers, and manage inbound contacts routed from marketing and sales programs. Coordinate and schedule meetings with key sales stakeholders
    • Engage in value-based discussions with prospects.  Facilitate and participate in customer meetings with key sales and executive stakeholders
    • Establish rapport, cultivate relationships and schedule initial meetings and demonstrations for the direct sales force with enterprise companies around the world
    • Prepare, manage, and present content required to accelerate customer engagement and the conversion of sales opportunities
    • Drives key business benefits mapped to the end user requirements from qualified opportunities and lead generation lists
    • Collaborate with sales operations and marketing teams to develop and manage lead reporting
    • Partner  with regional sales leadership to determine quarterly opportunity goals and territory plan

About You

    • 3+ years business-to-business (B2B) sales experience of high-tech products/services is preferred
    • Experience driving the sales process across internal and external teams 
    • Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment; must be a high-energy, motivated self-starter
    • Exceptional written communication and electronic correspondence skills, with knowledge of basic business research tools 
    • Exceptional verbal communication skills and ability to relay company value to current and potential customers
    • Salesforce is a plus
    • Proficiency in MSOffice based automation tools (Excel, Outlook, etc)
    • Strong interest and passion for technology innovation and the industry
    • Consistent track record for meeting and exceeding lead generation, forecasting and sales objectives
    • Experience calling into Fortune 500 accounts at executive levels
    • High level of energy, drive, passion, initiative, dedication and integrity
