Job Description

Corporate communications are essential to build and manage Omio’s reputation by clarifying business strategy internally and amplifying our vision and successes externally.

  • Define the communications strategy and messaging that amplifies the equity of the Omio group and its portfolio brands with media, investors, analysts, travel providers, business partners and other external audiences
  • Build relationships with senior leadership and show how communications can support the broader business objectives
  • Establish accurate processes to safeguard the quality of the external and internal communication processes
  • Collaborate with Consumer PR and Public Affairs to steer the positioning of Omio as a leader in Multi-Modal Digital Mobility Services and the travel industry
  • Contribute to the further development and positioning of our corporate brand 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with German, European and Global media, relevant to the tech and travel industry 
  • Create data-driven strategic narratives, whitepapers and messaging to underpin the positioning of our company
  • Identify and plan strategic media opportunities for our company and executive speakers 
  • Manage responses to media requests, press conferences, media events and interviews, providing and maintaining processes and briefing materials
  • Prepare communication tactics ensuring consistent and efficient delivery of our communication, such as factsheets, press kits, and (internal) presentations for the executives, with a hands-on approach to creating press opportunities
  • Manage our external agencies and freelancers to execute our corporate PR strategy
  • Lead the internal communications manager, ensuring the internal communication of the business strategy is consistent with our external messaging
  • Lead specific PR topics, such as crisis communication, issue management and corporate social responsibility
  • Collaborate with the People team to help establish a solid and engaging employer brand
  • Develop guidelines and standards for consistent corporate brand communication in business-related media and social/internal channels, such as LinkedIn, Slack and Intranet.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in public relations and corporate communications in a (publicly listed) company or consultancy
  • University degree or equivalent background in Journalism and Business Communications
  • Very high level of text and language confidence
  • Excellent professional expression in German and English (oral/written)
  • Experience in building and managing a highly effective PR network in the German and international financial, business and trade media
  • Journalistic way of thinking and working expressed in curiosity, perseverance, sense for newsworthy topics, and research and analytical skills
  • A track record of developing and delivering high-profile, impactful and measurable communication narratives, plans and production from start to finish 
  • Strategic, highly organised and proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced start-up and scale-up environment
  • Passion for people management, including the growth and development of team and stakeholder relationships.
