The Role

GoPro is seeking a top tier candidate for our contract Help Desk role. The Help Desk Technician's responsibilities are to provide responsive and high-quality technical support by working directly with end-users onsite or remotely (via various communications channels). You will gather information, evaluate options, and resolve technical problems with computer hardware and software. As an IT representative this role serves as a bridge between IT and various teams onsite, including Workplace Services and Engineering groups. 


What You Will Do

  • Provide exceptional service to Mac, PC, and Linux users achieving service level objectives for responding to and resolving requests.
  • Assist with managing the lifecycle of the onsite IT asset inventory from onboarding, technical support, offboarding, e-waste, etc. Assets include computers, mobile hotspots, peripherals, and others.
  • Represent IT in the New Hire Orientation for the Carlsbad office and remote US workers.
  • Initiate improvements to raise the quality and efficiency of service to end-users.
  • Work closely with our Global Help Desk team to define standards and policies. For examples: endpoints policies, manage user accounts for GoPro SaaS portfolio, and document support processes.
  • Work cross-functionally, from escalating support issues to providing simple server room maintenance, such as changing power supplies to restarting servers.


Skills We’re Excited About

  • 3+ years of relative work experience.
  • macOS and Windows OS software and hardware experience.
  • Ability to work with others and foster relationships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks.
  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Functional knowledge of software varying from Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Slack, Adobe.

The pay range for this role is between $44.00-$47.00 per hour. Actual pay within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including your residence location and prior work experience.
