We're looking for a detail-oriented go-getter, filled with potential who is looking to own and manage the people data and processes and assist in executing people programs that help scale our US and global teams.  You thrive in the back-end environment of HR, helping make the trains run on time with speed.
 
In this role, you’ll provide outstanding service to our team of Aeranauts (500+ strong and growing) covering a wide range of areas within the HR Operations discipline, including new hire onboarding, orientation, training, benefits, terminations, immigration, performance management, payroll assistance, reporting, and analytics.  This role provides an opportunity to build the foundation for a career in HR Operations while giving you the chance to influence how we work in a global, pre-IPO start-up environment.
 
Your co-workers on the People team are based in the SF Bay Area and the West coast (with other people team members in India and Romania).  We have a very flexible remote work environment, with a preference for being located within commuting distance of one of our two offices in Mt. View or San Francisco. Currently coming into the office is optional, folks on the US people team are coming in once a week or as needed.

Responsibilities

    • Partner with People Team members to deliver a consistent and positive experience to all of our Aeranauts, with a specific focus on US team members
    • Conduct New Hire Orientation and coordinate with stakeholders and IT teams to ensure a thoughtful and engaging onboarding experience
    • Process onboarding documentation
    • Process employment verification letters
    • Manage HR data tracking, updates, and reporting
    • Assist with immigration matters
    • Provide support for our feedback, compensation, and promotion programs
    • Manage the employee termination process, including preparing exit paperwork and exit surveys
    • Partner with the global People team, on People-related projects and initiatives
    • Reporting and data management through our HRIS system

About You

    • 2+ years of experience in HR Administration/Operations, ideally at a fast-paced technology company
    • Experience/Education exposure to data, reporting, and analytics
    • Ability to create internal communications
    • A strong customer service mentality
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask
    • Proficiency using GSuite, and MacBook
    • Experience working with an HRIS; bonus points for experience with our HR applications; BambooHR (HRIS), Lever (ATS), Culture Amp (Performance and Engagement), and ADP (Payroll/Benefits)
