We are searching for a Principal Product Designer to join our awesome Berlin team. As a Principal Product Designer you will lead a product design team through all phases of the product design process, from discovery to ideation, to testing and refinement. You will focus on leading a team towards innovative and usable design solutions that address our customer needs and desires, while meeting our business objectives and technology constraints. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator and has a love for collaboration.

In this role, you’ll get to:

• Manage a product design team throughout their day-to-day design work;
• Collaborate with the design team leadership to drive vision and strategy;
• Work closely with customer insights and business intelligence to deepen our understanding of Omio customers, their behaviors and mental models;
• Direct the development and maintenance of branded Design Language Systems;
• Craft presentations and present solutions to diverse functional roles, including peers, superiors, and company executives;
• Ensure the shipment of high-quality, consistent consumer experiences by working in close collaboration with software engineers and product managers;
• Mentor a team of designers to deliver high-quality design in a timely manner;
• At times, participate as an individual contributor in the design process.
• Contribute to creating a culture at Omio that is aware of the unique value design brings to the company.

• Ability to lead a product design team throughout all phases of a design project, from early ideation to detailed execution and shipping;
• Experience in translating design research, strategic market positioning, technical requirements in a specific design direction, including visuals and interactions;
• Experience in building and managing large branded design language systems;
• Exposure to data-driven design and decision making;
• A strong belief in the value of collaboration;
• 7+ years’ experience with a major web, with a major web, product development or consulting firm in the digital product and/or service design space;
• 2-4 years experience managing, or mentoring Product Designers;
