Tignis, who just announced a new round of Series A Funding, provides AI process control solutions for industrial systems that fuse deep physics understanding with the latest in AI solutions. Tignis has developed groundbreaking technology that takes high fidelity simulations (models based on partial differential equations) and generates machine learning surrogate models that are six orders of magnitude faster. This enables never-before-possible process control use cases. Tignis has also designed and built a novel analytics and automation language to give AI superpowers to process engineers. And of course, Tignis provides software solutions for AI process control (R2R or realtime, augmented or fully autonomous).

 

Tignis has proven its technology with big name customers in semiconductor manufacturing, and is looking to expand its market from that foundation.

 

The Role:

 

We are looking for a product manager with significant previous experience in semiconductor manufacturing and/or development. Someone who spent years directly in or alongside a semiconductor manufacturing environment and deeply understands challenges of semiconductor fabs today. You will work with a cross functional team of software engineers, data scientists, and process engineers to develop repeatable AI and Machine Learning process control software solutions for the semiconductor industry. This role will both directly contribute to the core software product roadmap and work directly with customers implementations.This role will be located in Albany NY and will work as a hybrid remote and in office position.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • This role’s time will be split between product (75%) and program (25%) management
  • Acquire market intelligence to become an expert on Tignis’ Semiconductor buyers, who they are, how they buy and their key buying criteria. You will be the expert on Tignis’ competition and how they are positioned.
  • Engage with prospects and customers to identify product opportunities and requirements. Recommend and justify product directions and specifications.
  • Work with customers and the existing product organization to define the product road map for both the PAICe Monitor and Maker products for use in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
  • Work directly with existing Tignis customers and prospects to determine and define project scopes and objectives
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans that ensure the success of customer engagements.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or expand engagements with existing customers.
  • Communicate results to broad range of external and internal constituents, from engineer to CEO

 

Requirements:

 

  • 2+ years of experience in technical software product or project management targeted at industrial or manufacturing plant use cases.
  • 5+ years of experience working in the semiconductor manufacturing or adjacent industry.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated success in defining and managing products that meet and exceed business objectives
  • Superior project management and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of data science, machine learning, and AI.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • You are excited about the power of machine learning to advance manufacturing technology excellence.
  • You have sincere empathy for the customer and a commitment to delving deep into the challenges they present or experience.
  • You have excellent and demonstrable written and verbal communication skills including the ability to create and deliver effective presentations.

  • Currently located in or willing to relocate to Albany NY

  • Hands-on experience with on-premise software development and deployment.
  • Hands-on experience working modern programming languages including: Python, JavaScript, Node.js, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with the development of Machine Learning algorithms and machine learning technologies.
  • Hands on experience as a process engineer in the semiconductor industry either developing or managing manufacturing processes.
