The Role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst who will play a critical role in accounting and handling various elements of GoPro’s SEC Reporting function. You will have a consistent track record of impactful accomplishments in fast-growing global environments. As well as possess an in-depth knowledge of SEC Reporting, technical accounting, financial statements, Stock-Based Compensation, and experience working with external auditors to maintain and establish controls necessary for US GAAP and international statutory compliance.

 What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the preparation of SEC filings including 10-K, 10-Q and 8-Ks and related XBRL requirements
  • Coordinate with external auditors, executive management, legal, tax and other cross-functional teams to facilitate the review process
  • Ensure effectiveness of the company’s internal controls over the financial reporting process
  • Continuously work to improve and streamline reporting processes and controls.
  • Participate in technical accounting issues, SEC comment letters, other authoritative research, and additional projects as needed
  • Support the annual external audit and quarterly reviews
  • Support the accounting close process in areas such as stock-based compensation, intangibles, goodwill, and other ad hoc activities

 Skills We’re Excited About

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience
  • Excellent knowledge of US GAAP, FASB pronouncements, and SEC rules and regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, a high level of attention to details and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing priorities
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and solve complex problems
  • Hands-on financial reporting experience
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and analytical skills are required to influence decision-making in planning and execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Commitment to process improvement and the ability to think “out of the box”
  • Flexibility to meet requirements of various deadlines

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with NetSuite or Workiva’s WDesk
  • Experience with Stock-based compensation
  • CPA license and experience in a large public accounting firm

The pay range for this role is between $80,750 – $119,000.  Actual pay within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including your residence location and prior work experience. Equity, benefits, and a discretionary bonus may be additional forms of compensation for this role and are not included in the provided pay range.
