Swift Navigation is looking for an outstanding C++ software engineer to work on the core of our positioning products. You will be working to push the state of the art in satellite navigation technology, designing and implementing advanced positioning algorithms within Swift correction service engine, GNSS engine or sensor fusion engine. In link with the software team, you will keep the bar high in the software quality standard and practices of the positioning team. Within the Positioning team, you will join the System Performance group, you will contribute to the definition and implementation of integrity algorithms and tools as part of Swift Product line.



  • Design software architecture

  • Drive trade-off, present different solutions and discuss pros and cons

  • Develop and test C++ algorithms within a real time chain (in the cloud or embedded)

  • Apply software quality standard and write associated documentation

  • Develop algorithms models and tools for performance assessment


Candidates should have skills and experience with:

  • Software architecture design

  • Scientific computing

  • Ability to write clean coherent code

  • Understanding of modern C++ principles and their application

  • Understanding the constraints inherent in an embedded or a cloud based system

  • Interest and demonstrated willingness to practice good code practices and techniques

  • Git (or relevant version control system)

  • Scripting languages (Python, Bash, Matlab)

Strong candidates will also possess skills in one or more of:

  • Excellent communication

  • Performance and Memory Optimization Techniques

  • Experience with GNSS algorithms

  • Experience with Integrity principles and algorithms

  • Embedded C (memory management, constrained-resource targets)

  • Modern CMake

Ideal candidates will also have an interest in, or experience with, one or more of the following:

  • Enthusiastic self-motivated learner

  • Shipping safety-critical software to production (ISO26262, DO-178, …)

  • Experience with sensor fusion algorithms

  • Build Automation (Travis, Jenkins, NixOS, Docker, Ansible)

  • Continuous Integration (GTest, Valgrind, Clang Tools, Code Coverage, Static Analysis)

  • Automotive/Safety OS (AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive, QNX, SELinux)

  • Code coverage, runtime and static analysis tools and frameworks (GTest, Valgrind, clang tools, …)
