Toast Tables is a fast-growing, fully integrated waitlist and reservations platform that allows restaurants to generate and manage demand. It ties in with many of Toast’s other systems so that restaurants can bring a magical, fully digital, end-to-end experience to guests.
The Tables team is laser focused on shipping great products. This magical experience while also ensuring that we create a thriving business, and we expect to move fast, learn along the way, and iterate.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Lead a team of mobile developers working collaboratively with UX, PM, QA, and other engineers
- Implement key functionality
- Participate in design reviews, product reviews, and code reviews to bring technical perspective throughout the product development life cycle
- Own decisions around code patterns and architecture to ensure product quality & code maintainability
- Lead scoping & technical design of major initiatives
- Drive planning & technical roadmap for the mobile team
- Drive improvement of the team’s testing and monitoring processes
- Collaborate with engineering manager and director to facilitate future team growth
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- Passionate about making users happy and seeing people use your product in the wild.
- 2+ years of experience being in a technical lead role.
- 3+ years of experience with Flutter, additional prior experience in native or full-stack mobile app development in coding languages such as DART, Swift, and Kotlin.
- Experience implementing monitoring, analytics, testing & security scanning tools to support mission-critical applications in production.
- Familiarity implementing high-fidelity designs provided by UX mocks in Figma, Sketch, etc.
- Willingness to embrace the agile mindset and understand that sometimes we need to ship features quickly and clean up the code later.
