As VP, Product Marketing, you are the subject matter expert and valued partner to the Aera sales, executives, product management, and marketing teams. Your key ability is to translate product capabilities and use cases into crisp messaging, ultimately creating amazing content that resonates with our enterprise audience. A respected strategic thinker, you are an indispensable asset to our team.   
This is a new position for an entrepreneurial and empathetic leader where you'll be expected to substantially shape the role and have a lasting impact on our brand, values, and marketing strategy.  Adding a strong head of Product Marketing will allow us to best support our team through critical stages of rapid growth, while more effectively identifying and materializing greater opportunities.
The ideal candidate is a proven Product Marketing leader with experience building & scaling product marketing teams in a high-growth environment. You maintain a balance between proactive ideation and efficient, high-quality execution. You have a strong bias to action with an ability to ruthlessly prioritize. You have a proven ability to work effectively across different functional teams.


    • Be the voice of the product, subject-matter expert, and the go-to source of knowledge for both internal teams (sales, marketing, executives) and industry analysts
    • Work directly with product management, the Center of Excellence, customer success, and engineering to translate technical capabilities into product and platform messaging that resonates with our core buyer personas
    • Build compelling product messaging and marketing plans and campaigns to highlight Aera’s unique value proposition and build awareness & support product launches
    • Support the sales team in structuring and positioning deals and act as the liaison between sales and other stakeholders throughout the process
    • Interface with analysts, explaining our unique positioning and value to gain analyst mindshare
    • Partner with product leadership and business functions in growing market opportunities of today, while also developing long-term strategies and multi-year plans to achieve our vision for the future
    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, collaborative team of marketers to drive the Aera vision and oversee efforts across all functions

About You

    • 15+ years of experience in a product management/marketing role at a disruptive enterprise software company
    • 8+ years of experience with team leadership, people management, and cross-functional team leadership
    • Experience in team transformation and change management while driving day-to-day execution
    • Experience building partnerships with cross-functional teams, and shaping multi-year product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
    • Leadership experience in a global role and knowledge of diverse cultural, social, and business landscapes
    • Strong team player and partner who knows how to collaborate across marketing, sales, and executive teams to deliver on company and team goals
    • Deep understanding of the enterprise software sales lifecycle
    • Ability to work in a hyper-growth environment, deal with ambiguities and take ownership of direction
    • Strong grasp of supply chain concepts and related technology is a plus: supply chain planning, demand forecasting, inventory planning, ERP, IBP
    • Strong functional knowledge of ERP or SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Kinaxis, Steelwedge/E2Open, Logility a big plus

    • Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product, and service management
