The Role
GoPro is seeking a Compensation Program Manager to own the administration of compensation at GoPro. You will elevate and enhance our compensation programs on a global scale.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing compensation strategies that attract and retain top talent. You will work closely with HR Business Partners and leaders to ensure our compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our company values.
What You Will Do
- Program manage annual compensation review processes, including merit, bonus, LTIP (long-term incentive program), quarterly equity grant process, and salary range updates.
- Utilize Workday to manage and maintain compensation data, job profiles, and market benchmarking information.
- Manage relationships with survey vendors and own our annual survey participation process.
- Interpret Radford compensation survey data (among others) to benchmark and analyze market trends for effective compensation decision-making.
- Conduct market analysis and research to support compensation decisions and program recommendations to ensure alignment with GoPro culture, philosophy and market.
- Collaborate closely with People Team Business Partners and Talent Acquisition teams to understand organizational needs and align compensation strategies accordingly.
- Develop and maintain clear, accurate career paths, job architecture and job leveling frameworks that support career progression at GoPro.
- Analyze, document, and evaluate new and revised jobs to recommend appropriate grade level and FLSA status using market data and internal comparisons to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity.
- Design and build compensation metrics, reports, and tools to inform compensation program decisions and forecast, report, and/or analyze compensation business outcomes.
- Responsible for compensation communication materials and trainings.
- Serve as resource for a variety of compensation and cross-functional People Team projects including employee recognition program, incentive design, acquisitions, etc.
- Develop executive compensation plans and programs for GoPro senior executives. Participate in the development of long-term strategic plans and objectives for executive compensation with our Compensation Leadership Committee (CLC).
- Prepare reports and presentations on broad-based compensation and executive compensation plans and programs for the CLC and Board of Directors.
Skills We’re Excited About
- 5+ years of experience in compensation management or a related field, with a proven track record of developing and implementing compensation programs, preferably with a public organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience with HRIS systems, especially Workday, for managing compensation data and analytics.
- Familiarity with Radford compensation benchmark surveys or similar market data sources.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or similar tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong ability to organize, keep track of details and produce results in an environment of rapid change and competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as ability to present analysis/recommendations in a clear and compelling manner to various audiences (Board of Directors, HR partners, cross-functional partners, managers, business leaders, employees)
- Track record of building collaborative partnerships with HR, finance, stock administration and legal partners
- Demonstrated compensation experience in the following areas: broad based compensation, executive compensation, job architecture, global compensation practices, data analysis, research and cost modeling

The pay range for this role is between $119,000 – $162,000. Actual pay within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including your residence location and prior work experience. Equity, benefits, and a discretionary bonus may be additional forms of compensation for this role and are not included in the provided pay range.
