Avanex IPO rockets 378 percet
Shares in Avanex Corp. rocketed more than 370 percent Friday during the Fremont-based company’s initial public offering. Avanex, which makes products to optimize fiber-optic networks, closed the day at $172 after opening trading at $36 per share.
