Steve Fredette, Aman Narang, and Jonathan Grimm first met while working together on the special operations team at Cambridge-based e-commerce enterprise company, Endeca. They soon figured out that they shared a passion for great food, restaurants and innovation. With roots in mobile and user experience, consumer apps and e-commerce, they began looking at the mobile payments space and having conversations with restaurants within walking distance of their offices. They realized that the heart of all of these restaurants was the point of sale system, many of which were archaic, inefficient and difficult to use, Steve, Aman and Jonathan created Toast to revolutionize the end-to-end management of a restaurant’s operations.
