In 2006, the founding team of Virident set out to create data storage solutions that would maximize CPU utilization by boosting I/O performance. The company became known for its FlashMAX Connect product, the industry’s first software suite to deliver a shared server-side flash storage tier with enterprise-class reliability. One of the most notable use cases of Virident’s technology is how it provided the analysis to help LinkedIn’s 200 million members identify who they should follow and enable users to connect more quickly and efficiently for a better overall customer experience. In 2013 Virident was acquired by Western Digital Subsidiary, HGST – formerly know as Hitachi Global Storage Tech – for $685 million in cash.

We have funded over 90 companies, 90% as the first investors, and have had 48 exits valued at $95B from 11 IPOs, and 37 acquisitions.
