As an Instructional Designer, your primary duty involves creating and enhancing training materials, ranging from videos, screencasts, eCourses, presentations, to guides utilized by technical trainers. Additionally, you are tasked with maintaining learning plans and overseeing Learning Management Systems for various stakeholders.
 
Within Aera’s enablement team, your role extends to shaping the Product Enablement and Training Function comprehensively. This entails conceptualizing curricula, designing, developing, and implementing training content across diverse mediums. You’ll have the chance to innovate, experimenting with methodologies that redefine the landscape of digital and virtual learning programs. Embrace unconventional approaches, leveraging digital adoption strategies to maximize investments in the Aera Platform.
 
Furthermore, delve into exploring alternative digital training methods, especially pertinent in today’s hybrid work environment, where remote and in-person work coalesce.

Responsibility

    • Design, develop, and maintain courses, assignments, and quizzes.
    • Ensure new and updated training content is regularly maintained.
    • Utilize use cases based on personas within business scenarios to develop training content.
    • Update content in alignment with product releases.
    • Prepare scripts and incorporate voiceovers into videos and eCourses.
    • Adhere to established processes while designing and creating effective training videos and/or eCourses.
    • Manage projects and establish milestones to track progress.
    • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the Aera platform to accurately capture product and functional flows.
    • Assist in managing sample data to facilitate hands-on exercises.
    • Collaborate with Senior Instructional Designers to identify necessary training content changes to support product functionality adjustments.
    • Working Knowledge in one or more of the following software applications:
    • Authoring Tools: Camtasia Studio, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, iSpring, Lectora Inspire, etc.
    • Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel
    • Learning Management System (LMS): Moodle, MindTickle, SuccessFactors

About You

    • 2 – 4 years of experience as an Instructional Designer, specializing in applying sound instructional design principles to develop training content for business applications. 
    • OR
    • 4 years of professional experience, with 2 years dedicated to Instructional Design and 2 years focused on documenting software applications.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in the English language.
    • Ability to gather product information by analyzing product development documentation such as user stories and design documents.
    • Ability to explain technical concepts in clear, concise, and simple language.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and completing work.
    • Cross-functional experience and establishing rapport within and outside the team.
    • Ability to accept new challenges and responsibilities with enthusiasm.
    • Possess good organizational and administrative skills.
    • Effective communication skills in both formal and informal situations.
    • Hands-on experience in creating demos and walkthroughs of ERP applications.

Qualifications

    • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Technical Communication, or English, or equivalent experience in training content design and development.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any field of engineering, such as BCA, MCA, or BE graduation.
