Role:
We are looking for Solution Test Engineers who are self-motivated, creative, and agile. You will work closely with the top-notch talent in Arrcus in redefining networking. 
The Solution Test Engineer is a highly technical role, providing post-sales support for Arrcus Networking Products, focusing on customer-specific tests for release certifications. This role requires developing and maintaining expertise on the products deployed within the Specific Customer Networks. The Candidate should be well versed with networking fundamentals, virtualization technologies, SDN, and other test frameworks & test automation.
Responsibilities: 

  • Anticipate and work closely with engineers, Customer Engineering, Sales and marketing teams at various stages such as PRD, functional spec, and design reviews to develop test plans, tools, and utilities
  • Review System requirements and Functional specifications and develop comprehensive solution test plans to validate customer use cases.
  • Configure hardware, features, traffic generators, and other tools to emulate the required environment
  • Execute an exhaustive test plan, focusing on potential weaker areas, performance, and realistic scale
  • Lead test efforts and perform hands-on manual testing and automation.
  • Participate in design and information gathering workshops with the Customer to understand the Customer’s existing network design and technical requirements of new network designs.
  • Produce a summary report of the status of Design projects, equipment, and network problems on a regular basis to the Customer.
  • Performing RCA Analysis to identify Use Case Coverage gaps.
  • Plan, schedule, track, and periodically report the project status
  • Mentor new hires 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Masters in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in a System test or Solution test role, handling complex end-to-end environments
  • Good Domain Knowledge experience: Service Provider, Enterprise, Data Centre Technologies such as TCP/UDP/IPv4/IPv6, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF,  MPLS L3VPN, L2VPN, EVPN-VXLAN, SR-MPLS, SRv6, and other Tunneling Technologies
  • Proficient in the use of IXIA/SPIRENT to develop Data Path and Control Plane Test cases
  • Good experience with automation Python and Robot Framework 
  • Knowledge of Network merchant silicon chipsets and Whitebox platforms
  • Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment and familiarity with Docker Containers, and VMs is good to have.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong drive to improve quality and curiosity to learn new technologies
  • Able to operate with a high degree of independence, driven by an internal desire to succeed at the challenge of breaking our products
  • Cisco/Juniper certifications is a plus
  • Knowledge of Network merchant silicon chipsets and Whitebox platforms
  • Nice to have: DevOps experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud services

Base Salary: $125000-150,000
