Job Title: Contract Tech Writer
Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Tech Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure our technical content is accurate, comprehensive, and easy to understand. This role requires a strong background in SaaS, APIs, and user workflows.
Key Responsibilities:

Create and maintain user manuals, technical guides, API documentation, and online help resources.

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to gather information and understand documentation requirements.

Translate complex technical concepts, APIs, and user workflows into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.

Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others, and coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills.

Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.

Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the SaaS or technology industry.

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts, APIs, and user workflows in a clear and concise manner.

Proficiency with documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, MadCap Flare, or similar.

Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, or other programming languages is a plus.
