Job Description

The Vendor Operations Manager will play an important role in our vendor operations. In this role, you will manage relationships with offshore vendors to support Omio’s scaling efforts. You will use your project management, analytical skills and innovative thought process to recommend solutions that will help achieve SLAs and customer service goals. You will be solution-oriented in order to drive results.

Team overview, the Business Processing Outsourcing team will provide operational and analytical support on a broad variety of activities with a focus on managing the operational performance of offshore vendors, to include oversight management, and administrative support.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Monitor vendor relationships to ensure compliance, optimal performance and achievement of business goals according to SLAs and other contractual requirements 

  • Support onboarding and offboarding of new and existing vendors across various geographies while ensuring SLAs are still met

  • Maintain highly effective working relationships with vendors and internal business stakeholders to ensure performance metrics are met, identify opportunities for improvements, mitigate risk and eliminate barriers

  • Work closely with your vendor team to achieve key daily, weekly, and monthly operational goals.

  • Communicate to senior operations leaders on projects, goals, and priorities.

  • Identify new tasks to transition to the vendor team and project manage the transition of those tasks from other teams within Omio.

  • Develop ad-hoc reports and provide variance explanations to identify performance improvement opportunities 

  • Identifies core issues with current processes, defines strategies and opportunities to improve vendor performance

  • Conduct analysis to identify improvement areas, efficiency gains, data quality enhancements, forecast accuracy with relevant stakeholders within Omio and the vendor

  • Manages communication between vendors and internal stakeholders

  • Serve as the main point of contact for vendors, and become the internal point of contact for cross-functional partners

  • 3+ years of professional work experience in a related field, such as Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), analytics, operations, or strategy 

  • Experience working in a fast-paced operations environment with responsibility for improving performance metrics

  • Must be highly proficient in Excel (i.e. – pivot tables, vlookup) and PowerPoint with ability to create presentations

  • Strong research, testing, and process improvement skills; good at creating and analyzing business information, creating dashboards, tracking key business metrics with exceptional data management skills.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with cross-functional leaders

  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage competing priorities

  • Must possess superior analytical skills

  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment

  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
