According to SEMrush’s data, 32% of leading ecommerce websites’ visitors come from organic search, meaning they searched for something using Google, or Bing, or Yahoo!, and the search results led them to an ecommerce site.
A SimilarWeb report found the same basic pattern: in January 2016, 35% of the globe’s ecommerce traffic came from organic search.
As this data reveals, one-third of all online shoppers are up for grabs for retailers willing to act.
